Blood Mountain follows the case of experienced hiker Meredith Emerson, who along with her dog, vanished without a trace on Blood Mountain in Georgia, leading authorities to begin a massive search-and-rescue operation. When two murdered hikers in other national forests across the southeast are discovered, the question is posed: Is Emerson just another lost hiker — or is something more sinister behind her disappearance?

Follow Special Agent Beth Shott of the Investigative Services Branch (the elite detective force of the National Park Service) as she and her team doggedly pursue the suspect through three years of twists and turns until he is arrested and convicted.

In 1983 a tourist discovered a woman’s decaying hand in Yosemite National Park. There were no missing person reports or additional remains found, which sparked questions amongst National Park Service criminal investigators Don Coelho and Kim Tucker about who this “Jane Doe” was and if she was murdered.
